After beating Hell and Damnation on the last difficulty, I realized, that it’s Hellishly easy. Daniel is good, daemons are bad, go kill them, that’s all you need to know. As for the plot, this game has traditionally close to none, so don’t even try finding any sense or hidden messages here. Other than that, you have your old reliable shotty, stakes, and all the rest of the original Painkiller and Painkiller: BOH (the expansion) weapons. You’re jumping around and killing tons of running towards you enemies, fun times! Hell and Damnation actually added 1 new weapon, which allows you to collect souls from a distance, and that’s a pretty interesting new feature. The gameplay is really brisk, as expected from a Painkiller game. Back when we still called them Doom-clones, first-person shooters brought twitch-based arcade action to the third-dimension.
